Disability Employment Services
The Disability Employment Service provides career development, job search support, pre-employment training and one-on-one practical case management to people with disabilities with the aim of securing employment in the open market.
What we can do for you
- Asses your skills and abilities and match them to specific jobs
- Provide you with career direction, counselling and advice
- Help you to prepare your resume and application letters
- Arrange training in a range of areas, such as
- Employment Preparation
- Work Safety
- Computer Skills
- Organise work training placements to give you practical experience
- Help you to job search
- Modify a workplace to suit your specific needs
- Arrange financial incentives for your new employer
- Provide you with on-the-job training and support if needed
Are you eligible?
The service is available to you if you
- Are aged between 15 and 65 years
- Have a disability of any kind
- Need extra help because of your disability to find and keep a job
- Have been assessed as eligible for our service (we can arrange your assessment)
- Are motivated to work and cleared to work for at least 8 hours per week
