Introduction to Word Processing
Introduction to Word Processing will provide students with the competencies needed to perform a range of word processing functions
- Orientation of the Word Environment
- Using Wizards, templates and Help
- Create, Save, Open, Print Preview and Print files
- Spell Check and Editing tools - cut, copy and paste
- Formatting - font, font size, font colour, alignment, indenting, borders and shading, bullets and numbering etc
- Inserting Pictures
- Setting Tabs, using Find and Replace
- Creating and modifying tables
- Mail Merges
Introduction to Word Processing can be completed as a stand-alone unit or as an introduction to a more advanced software course. A Statement of Attainment is issued for achievement of competency in this unit.
